The one course you really need besides the OWD is the Nitrox course. It’s about the benefits of diving with nitrox – a breathing gas that contains less nitrogen and more oxygen. Because you take up less nitrogen with it, it’s a popular alternative to air and is often offered for free. However, in order to use it, you must have a Nitrox certification. You can get this here – online, and still in better quality than the average live Nitrox course.
The first step is the Nitrox 32 certification, for which you really only need to learn the theory. You’ll get it as soon as you’ve completed the exam. Then once you have access to an analyzer, we do a little workshop on how to analyze and mark the cylinder – and you get the 40% unlocked. <\/p>\n
To gain your Nitrox certification, you get access to our supplementary material here. Of course, anyone who already has a comparable certification can take a look at our small course. But if you haven’t already, you might want to do it.<\/p>\n
You can do the SSI Nitrox course with us almost completely online. Since nothing changes in the water, this is really just about theory. You need to know what benefits you can get from a different breathing gas, but most importantly, know the limitations. This requires a little something in practice: you need to learn how to analyze the contents of your scuba tank yourself. <\/p>\n
And even if the course is largely online, you will of course have contact persons with us. If you don’t understand something, you can just ask on different channels and you will surely get a nice answer. And if you don’t get your questions answered there, we’ll just do a webinar tailored to your questions.<\/p>\n
