Description
The Assistant Instructor Course is your first big step towards becoming an SSI diving instructor. In five intensive days, you will learn how to prepare and present theory and pool lessons, and how to give professional feedback.
The focus is on the beginner courses: Try Scuba and Open Water Diver (OWD). You will gain confidence in the basics of training and can work as an Assistant Instructor in the training of student divers immediately after the course.
Why the AI course also makes sense individually:
Many candidates consciously decide to do the AI separately in order to gain practical experience between the two training steps. As an Assistant Instructor, you can actively participate in real courses before completing the full Instructor training in the second step, the ITC.
We offer the AI course in two variants:

Compact seminar (5 full days) – ideal if you want to complete the AI quickly

Practice-integrated variant – you accompany real courses and grow into your role step by step

To participate, you need the SSI Digital Kit ITC (available from us or another SSI Center).

If you complete the entire path to becoming an instructor with us later, you can upgrade to a combined AI+ITC package or the all-inclusive package and end up paying no more.
