Courses at the Punkfish Academy
In the Punkfish Academy you will find a lot of theory on all kinds of diving topics. The recordings of our webinars, some extra videos, recordings from pro trainings, the one or other skill video and of course texts here on the site – there is a lot together.
From all the theory we offer, we put together theory packages for your SSI courses. If you book a course with us, you can always watch a few extra videos, take part in a workshop and simply continue your education. In diving theory, that’s what we’re here for – for diving, of course, you have to get into the water whenever you can!
For diving you can find us on La Palma, but sometimes you can also meet some of us at a lake in Germany or anywhere else in the world… And you can simply go diving with any diving center, in any club, with any buddy!
Diving knowledge can be learned at home on the computer – but diving is learned in the water. So, get away from the screen and go diving again!
How can I do an SSI Theory Specialty here?
Very simple: You book the course or write us first. Then you get access to the SSI Online Course and extra material from us. You will work through this and can ask us anything you are unclear about in an online meeting, by email or via messenger. Then you take your exam online, and get the brevet.
Theory specialties are all those where you don’t need any new skills in the water. The best known: Nitrox. As important as the course is, you don’t need to know anything new underwater. Then there is the course with the complete diving theory, Science of Diving. Knowledge about diving equipment – Computer Diving, Equipment Techniques, and even Compressor Techniques, can also be acquired online. And of course everything to do with marine life: The entire SSI Ecology program are theory-only courses.
How does it work if I have to do dives for my course?
You buy the SSI material and theory for your course from us. You can easily work through these whenever you feel like it – and then go into the practical part of the course feeling completely relaxed and well prepared.
Of course you need a diving center for the dives. If you can’t just come to us in La Palma, we’ll be happy to help you find it.
