You have chosen SSI – an association that is one of the largest in the world and has clearly positioned itself in recent years with a well thought-out system and strong digital tools.
SSI was one of the first training associations to consistently focus on digital content – and this head start is paying off. The system is clearly structured, the platform works reliably and you have exactly the tools you need as an instructor.
A big advantage: as an active diving professional, SSI gives you access to all the courses you are allowed to teach – and often even more. So you can prepare yourself at any time, even for special courses that you would like to do later. The materials are available in many languages and can be used immediately.

The SSI training system
Being a diving instructor means more than just training students in and on the water. A good diving instructor needs so much more: organization, administration, sales, equipment maintenance, compressor, social media – and more. Of course, not everyone has to master everything to perfection, but just as divers have different interests and choose very different specialty profiles, you as a diving instructor want to be able to do more than just the basics and contribute your special skills in your center.
The basis for this is always the SSI training system, and everyone really needs to understand the basics of it. This is your working material, your tool, you have to master it. This part is covered in great detail in your SSI ITC Manual, so we will limit ourselves here to a few additional tips, some material for practice and some further discussions.

Everything under control for the Instructor Examination (IE)
Part of the instructor exam will be a group discussion about the SSI Education System. As a Divemaster, you can sit back and relax here, but if you are currently doing the ITC, you surely want to know exactly what is being asked. No problem: just like all other evaluations in your pro courses, there is an evaluation form with clearly defined criteria. So you can see in advance what to expect.
