Description
If there is still air in the cylinder at the end of the no-decompression time, you may wish you could stay a little longer. This is exactly what Nitrox is for: these gases have more oxygen, and therefore naturally less nitrogen. You absorb less nitrogen and can therefore stay underwater longer before you reach the no-decompression limit.
But Nitrox also has some specific risks associated with the higher oxygen content. So that you can use these gases safely, you will learn in this course what limits you should observe and how important it is to always know exactly what you are breathing.
In the SSI Nitrox course at the Punkfish Academy you get:
- The SSI Digital Kit Nitrox
- Online exam
- Certification
- Videos to support learning
- Personal support

The SSI course is very clearly structured, and you can go through the material at your own pace. The additional videos from Punkfish are a good supplement if the SSI theory isn’t enough for you. After the course, you will definitely be able to understand diving with Nitrox.
My certification card was issued the very next day (after passing the tests), and all my previous certification cards were immediately added to my SSI account. So now I always have all my certification cards with me for spontaneous dives 🙂
I didn’t have an SSI account yet and had to wait until the next day for activation. So, in total, it took me three days to get the certification card.
Great thing. I was glad I could do everything comfortably from home, without having to look for a suitable appointment (before my diving holiday) and without having to travel to a dive center.
